Barton Innovation Group Inc. of East Hampton, N.Y., will exhibit its new “SqueezyStraw™” flexible packaging system at WestPack, one of the world’s largest consumer packaging shows, in the Anaheim (CA) Convention Center, Feb. 11-13.
“WestPack gives participants the opportunity to meet face-to-face with key decision makers from the packaging community who are seeking industrial, food and beverage, medical, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmetics and personal care solutions, among others,” says the WestPack.com website. Barton Group will be exhibiting in Booth No. 5393, partnering with Anser Manufacturing.
“SqueezyStraw™is a new single-serve dispensing pouch with its own built-in, integral sipping straw,” said Lew Barton, company president.
“Through supplying and consulting with McDonald’s, Burger King and many other leading foodservice chains for years, I became aware of this need in the marketplace. However, I want to make clear that I am not manufacturing SqueezyStraw™ products. Rather I am introducing this patented technology to the industry and making it available for licensing.
“By combining pouch and straw into one product, we can reduce packaging and storage costs, accommodate all kinds of liquids at all temperatures, and reduce environmental impact,” Barton explained. “In addition to applications for beverages and condiments, Squeezy Straw can also be produced in a 3.4-ounce size that is within the current TSA maximum limit for carry-on liquid containers. The possibilities for companies to generate new products and new revenue streams are unlimited.”
